From that experience she founded La Vie en Rose International — a company born from resilience and compassion with a simple promise: to help others rediscover light, beauty, and joy during and after the cancer journey.
Beginnings in Loss
In August 2021, Penelope Sarnataro experienced an unimaginable loss when her husband of 27 years passed away suddenly from COVID-19. But through immense strength, unwavering faith, and the grace of God, she persevered.
The Second Storm
Seven months later, Penelope faced another life-altering challenge: she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Stage 4 appendiceal cancer. The diagnosis was devastating, the treatments were grueling, and the future uncertain.
Light After Darkness
That battle wasn't the end of her story—it was the beginning of something bigger. She believes that God spared her life not just to survive, but to serve. Second Light was created as a direct response to that calling.
